What tends to happen is that recognition gets overlooked. Look for people doing something well and congratulate them on it. Do it in public and in private. Switch it up now and then. Some people are not embarrassed by the attention, and others prefer to be praised privately. Recognizing positive performance makes it easier to hold people accountable and maintain a positive environment.
