Engagement Rule 6 for Leaders: Influence the Real Leaders

John Maxwell describes being leader as one word…Influence.  If you influence people, you lead them.

You and your coaches are probably not the real leaders. Chances are there are a few of your employees that have more influence than anyone. Quickly identify those people and find a way to partner with them. Take the time to get to know them and listen to them. Find opportunities to remedy their concerns around the office and in the marketplace. This will show that value and like them. They will feel the need to reciprocate.
